This weekend, our summer camp students traded their textbooks for safari hats and headed out to explore one of Cebu’s most spectacular attractions: the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park. It was a day full of exotic animals, natural English conversation, and the kind of team bonding that only happens outside the classroom.

Our group gathered at the Welcome Pavilion, banners in hand, ready for a full day of adventure. The excitement was clear from the very first group photo, with students, families, and our friendly staff in their signature yellow shirts all set to explore together.
From there, the tour took us through the park’s famous highlights. The park map showed just how much there was to see, from the White Lion Safari and the Gardens of the World to the Zip Line and Giant Swing. Everywhere we looked, there was something new to discover.
The animal encounters were, without a doubt, the stars of the day. Students came face to face with majestic tigers resting behind viewing glass, learning fascinating facts along the way. One information board explained that tigers are the third largest land carnivore, can run up to 40 miles per hour, and that the rare white tiger appears in only about 1 in 10,000 births.
The bird aviary was another favourite. Bright, colourful parrots landed on shoulders, arms, and even heads, and our students could not stop smiling as they fed and photographed them. There were plenty of other creatures to meet too, including a curious crowned pigeon strolling right up to the group and a large python coiled among the bamboo.
What made the day special was not just the animals. It was the natural English conversation that happened throughout the trip. As students asked questions, read signs, ordered food, and shared their excitement, they were practising the language without even realising it.
