WINNING English Academy's September 2026 monthly report recaps activity across its two Cebu campuses (City and Ocean), including airport welcomes for new students, graduation ceremonies, and a full calendar of community events. September was a vibrant month across both of our campuses here in Cebu. From warm airport welcomes to heartfelt graduation ceremonies and a full calendar of activities, our WINNING community kept growing and learning together. Here’s a look back at what made the month special at both the City Campus and the Ocean Campus.
This month we were delighted to welcome a new group of students to the WINNING family. Our team met arrivals at the airport, holding up the familiar WINNING sign so no one felt lost on their first day in a new country. Smiles, suitcases, and a little travel fatigue aside, everyone settled in quickly.
From the moment students step off the plane, our goal is simple: help them feel at home. A friendly pickup is just the beginning of the supportive environment we work hard to create.
September also brought graduation ceremonies at both campuses. At the City Campus, a large group of students gathered for a lively celebration, certificates in hand and the WINNING banner proudly on display. At the Ocean Campus, learners of all ages—including some of our youngest family-programme students—marked their achievements together.
As Malcolm Liang, Principal of WINNING English Academy, reminded our graduates:
“WINNING is your Second-Home, where lifelong connections and endless opportunities begin. As you graduate, remember… You’ll always be part of the WINNING Family!”
Watching students complete their journeys—and seeing the friendships they’ve built along the way—is always one of the most rewarding parts of the month.
The City Campus welcomed a diverse mix of nationalities this month. Taiwan led the way, followed by strong numbers from Japan and China, with students also joining from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, South Korea, and beyond. ESL remained the most popular programme, with students also enrolling in Camp, IELTS, TOEIC, Business, and Family courses. The student body reflected a wide range of ages, with a lively concentration of young adult learners.
At the Ocean Campus, China represented the largest group, followed by Japan and Taiwan, along with students from Vietnam, the Philippines, and Turkey. ESL and Family courses made up the programme mix here, reflecting the campus’s welcoming environment for both individual learners and families studying together.
This blend of nationalities, ages, and goals is part of what makes studying at WINNING so enriching—students practise English with peers from around the world every single day.
There was never a dull moment at the City Campus. Students kicked things off with a Welcome Party and stayed active with Yoga Classes and Sports Night. We celebrated Saudi National Day together, complete with flags and decorations, and gave back to the local community through our Charity Program. The month closed with a joyful Graduation Party.
The Ocean Campus matched that energy with its own full schedule. A Welcome Party set the tone, followed by A Day of Trivia, a Guitar Session & Buskers Night, and a high-spirited Zumba Night. Students also took part in a meaningful Charity Program with children from the local community, before gathering for a warm Graduation Party.
These activities are more than just fun—they help students build confidence, make friends, and practise real-world English outside the classroom. They’re also a big part of what we mean by our non-Spartan, coaching-centred approach.
