WINNING English Academy's August 2026 monthly report reviews activity across its three Cebu campuses—City, Ocean, and Lyf. It covers welcoming new international students, graduation ceremonies, student nationality and course breakdowns, campus activities, and on-site medical support. Taiwan led student numbers across all campuses, with ESL and Camp courses being the most popular programmes.
August was a vibrant month across all three WINNING English Academy campuses in Cebu. From welcoming new arrivals at the airport to celebrating our graduating students, the WINNING community continued to grow and thrive. Here is a look back at what happened this month at City, Ocean, and Lyf campuses.
This month, WINNING was delighted to welcome new students from around the world. Our team met arrivals at the airport, holding up the WINNING sign to greet solo learners, families, and a school group from Taiwan. Seeing familiar smiles and eager faces at the arrival gates is always one of our favourite moments—it marks the beginning of a new English learning journey and, for many, a new second home.
Whether travelling alone, with family, or as part of a young learner group, every new student is welcomed into the WINNING family from the very first day.
August also brought heartfelt goodbyes. Graduation ceremonies were held across City, Lyf, and Ocean campuses, where students received their certificates and celebrated the progress they made during their stay.
As Malcolm Liang, Principal of WINNING English Academy, shared: “WINNING is your Second-Home, where lifelong connections and endless opportunities begin. As you graduate, remember… You’ll always be part of the WINNING Family!”
Our largest campus continued to attract a diverse international community this month.
City welcomed a wide mix of nationalities, with Taiwan making up the largest group, followed by Japan and China. Students also joined from South Korea, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and beyond, creating a truly global learning environment.
ESL remained the most popular programme, closely followed by our Camp courses. Family, IELTS, and TOEIC courses also drew strong interest, reflecting the variety of learning goals our students bring to WINNING.
The City campus welcomed learners across a broad age range, with teenagers and young adults making up a significant portion of the community alongside working professionals and family members.
Learning at WINNING extends well beyond the classroom. This month at City campus, students enjoyed a lively line-up of activities designed to build friendships and keep everyone active:
These activities are a key part of our non-Spartan approach, helping students relax, connect, and practise English in a natural, enjoyable way.
Our Ocean campus, popular with families and young learners, had another busy month.
Taiwan led the way in student numbers, followed by China, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, and the Philippines—a wonderful blend of cultures under one roof.
Camp courses were the most popular choice at Ocean, complemented by our ESL programme, reflecting the campus’s strong appeal to younger learners and families.
The age chart shows a lively younger population, with many students in the 5–14 range alongside adults, making Ocean an ideal environment for family learning.
Lyf campus had a distinctly young and energetic atmosphere this month.
Taiwan made up the clear majority of students, with additional learners from South Korea, Japan, and China.
Every student at Lyf this month joined our Camp programme, underscoring the campus’s focus on immersive, activity-rich learning for younger students.
The age breakdown was heavily weighted toward children in the 5–14 range, alongside accompanying adults—perfect for our junior and family camp offerings.
Your health and wellbeing matter to us. This month, our on-site medical support was available to students, with our doctor and nursing staff on hand to provide check-ups and care. Having reliable healthcare access on campus gives students and parents peace of mind throughout their stay.
August reminded us why WINNING feels like a second home—welcoming new faces, celebrating achievements, staying active together, and caring for one another. Across City, Ocean, and Lyf, students from many countries came together to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships.
