Before you read a single word, watch this video. It’s 3 minutes. And it will show you something that no brochure ever could — the moment a child who was too shy to speak English in public stood on a stage and delivered a full presentation. In Singapore. In front of an audience.
That video was filmed at the 2026 Winning English Singapore International Camp — a 10-day, 9-night program held at Hwa Chong Institution, one of Singapore’s most prestigious schools. What you just watched is not a highlight reel. It’s what actually happens when you put a child in the right environment, with the right teachers, in the right city.
The teachers in the video don’t talk about curriculum. They talk about children. They talk about a student named Jeffrey, who was terrified of heights, and how he stood at the top of the Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay — and didn’t look down. They talk about students who arrived on Day 1 refusing to speak English, and who, by Day 10, were holding full conversations and presenting projects on stage.
“Initially, many students were reluctant to speak English. But by the end of the camp, they were able to create conversations with ease. Their creativity and unique ideas surpassed our expectations.”
— Camp Instructor, Winning English Singapore 2026
This is what the Winning English Singapore International Camp is designed to do. Not just teach English — but build the confidence to use it. In a real country. With real people. In real situations that matter.

Jeffrey’s story from the video didn’t happen in a classroom. It happened at Gardens by the Bay — one of the most iconic landmarks in Singapore. And that’s exactly the point. The Winning English Singapore Camp is built on the belief that the most powerful English learning happens outside the classroom, in real-world situations where students have no choice but to communicate.
Singapore is the ideal city for this. As one of the world’s safest cities, with English as its primary official language, it provides a natural full-immersion environment. Students use English not just in class — but at breakfast, on the MRT, during excursions, and when collaborating with local Singaporean students. Every moment of every day is a language lesson.
| Singapore Advantage | Why It Matters for Your Child |
|---|---|
| 🌏 English is the official language | Natural immersion 24/7 — not just during class hours |
| 🛡️ World’s safest city | Full group management — parents can have complete peace of mind |
| 🏙️ World’s 4th largest financial centre | Real-world context for Finance Camp — students visit actual financial institutions |
| 🔬 Top innovation ecosystem | Cutting-edge environment for STEAM Camp — students see innovation in action |
| 🌍 Multicultural society | Students develop genuine cross-cultural intelligence and global perspective |
The camp offers two specialized programs, both held at Hwa Chong Institution. Both are taught entirely in English, with a 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio to ensure every child gets individual attention. Both culminate in a final presentation — the moment you see in the video, where students stand on stage and show the world what they’ve learned.
🏦 Finance Camp — Future Financial Leaders
July 1–10 & July 21–30, 2026
Students explore the world of finance through English — learning about budgeting, investment, and entrepreneurship through hands-on simulations and real-world visits. They play an exclusive Finance Board Game that simulates inflation, visit the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and National University of Singapore (NUS), and collaborate with local students on finance projects. The camp culminates in an English pitch presentation using Canva — the same format used by real startup founders.
🔬 STEAM Camp — Future City Designers
July 11–20 & July 31–August 9, 2026
Students tackle the challenge of designing the cities of the future — using English as their tool for collaboration, creativity, and communication. They visit the Singapore City Gallery, explore innovation spaces at NUS, and join STEAM workshops with students from St. Francis International School. The camp ends with a visual presentation of their city design concepts — built in Canva and presented in English.

The video shows something that test scores never can: the look on a child’s face when they realize they can do something they thought was impossible. That moment — whether it’s Jeffrey at the top of the Supertree Grove, or a student delivering their first-ever English presentation on stage — is what the Winning English Singapore Camp is really about.
The teachers in the video describe their approach clearly: they use hands-on, relatable methods. They use apps like Kahoot to make learning feel like play. They use simpler words, gestures, and real-life scenarios to make complex topics accessible. And they create a safe environment where making mistakes is not just allowed — it’s expected, and celebrated.
“The core goal is for children to learn new skills, enjoy the process, and become confident using English — especially in a foreign country. We want them to gain not just knowledge and skills, but confidence, communication, and independence.”
— Camp Instructor, Winning English Singapore 2026

| Your Question | Our Answer |
|---|---|
| 🛡️ Is my child safe? | Singapore is consistently ranked among the world’s safest cities. The program operates on a group entry/exit basis — students travel together from arrival to departure. All activities are fully supervised. Accommodation is at Hwa Chong Institution’s on-campus dormitories (boys and girls separated, 4 per room). |
| 📚 Will their English actually improve? | Yes — because they have no choice but to use it. Every class, every meal, every excursion, every interaction with peers and teachers happens in English. With a 1:6 teacher-student ratio, every child gets direct feedback and encouragement. |
| 🌍 Is it worth the cost? | Consider what your child gains: 10 days of English immersion equivalent to months of classroom study, a real international experience on their CV, financial or STEAM skills, and — most importantly — the confidence to use English in the real world. This is an investment in their future. |
| 👫 Will my child be lonely? | Students come from across Asia, creating an instant international community. The structured program ensures everyone participates, and many students form friendships that last long after the camp ends. |
| 🏫 Who are the teachers? | As you can see in the video — they are passionate, experienced educators who genuinely care about every student’s growth. They make difficult topics fun, notice every student’s progress, and celebrate every breakthrough. |
